PCCW Upstream Connectivity Issue in Seoul, South Korea (ICN04)

    A case has been opened with PCCW, and although we have not yet received an official response from them, the BGP session with PCCW has since recovered and communication is currently operating normally.

    We will continue to await a formal reply from PCCW, and this incident will remain open until we have confirmed that the issue has been fully resolved.

    현재 PCCW에 케이스가 오픈된 상태이며, 아직 공식적인 답변은 받지 못했지만 BGP 세션은 복구되었고 현재 통신은 정상적으로 이루어지고 있습니다.

    We are currently experiencing an issue with the PCCW upstream path at ICN04. The BGP session with PCCW is down at this time, and we have requested an investigation from their side.

    There is no issue on our equipment — the disruption is confirmed to originate from PCCW.

    Further updates from the carrier will be posted on our status page as they become available.

    The transceiver has been successfully replaced, and we are currently monitoring the status after inserting the cleaned optical cable.

    We have identified that CRC errors are increasing due to a module and cable issue on a specific port connected to the IPS/IDS device at ICN04.

    We have temporarily disabled communication through the affected port. Although this has slightly reduced the overall network processing capacity, there is currently no impact on network communication.

    Given the current traffic levels, we do not anticipate any issues arising from the reduced capacity. We plan to replace the faulty component today without causing any service disruption.

    ICN04의 IPS/IDS 장비에 연결된 특정 포트에서 모듈 및 케이블 문제로 인해 CRC 오류가 증가하고 있는 것을 확인하였습니다.

    해당 포트의 통신은 현재 일시적으로 차단된 상태이며, 이로 인해 네트워크 처리 용량이 다소 감소하였으나, 전체 네트워크 통신에는 영향을 미치지 않고 있습니다.

    현재의 트래픽 수준을 고려할 때, 감소된 용량으로도 서비스에는 전혀 문제가 없을 것으로 판단되며, 금일 중으로 서비스 중단 없이 관련 부품을 교체할 예정입니다.

    We want to inform you that there will be planned maintenance at South Korea Pop (ICN) as scheduled below.

    We will be performing PDU cabling inspection and improvement work on the server rack that hosts our dashboard-related servers.

    As a result, the dashboard service may experience temporary interruptions during the scheduled maintenance window.

    Please note that this maintenance will not affect any other services, including running virtual servers, CDN, or network operations. All other systems will remain fully operational.
